Close to Two Weeks and...
...we leave for the U.S. to marry. Have to take the train to Lisbon, spend the night there, then fly to Franfurt from where we have a LONG direct flight to San Francisco. From there, a four hour drive to Reno, Nevada, where we'll wed. A long trip but one we can't wait to make.
Found some time to play guitar today.

This is my player, a Gibson '67 Reissue Flying V made in 2000. I've had it for a year. Bought it on eBay. Was like new, warranty card, inspection tag, customshop case, but arrived with the neck cracked at the headstock. That's a downside of the 17ยบ Gibson headstock tilt, they're prone to cracking when shipped if the string tension isn't loosened enough and they're handled roughly.
Took it to the Guitar Doc in Fountain Valley, California (Orange County) and had him fix it. Still has the crack line, but it's commonly believed that a repaired cracked headstock is even stronger than it was originally, so all is well. Could have returned it to the seller, but I got it for a great price (he swears the headstock wasn't cracked when he shipped it), it plays extremely well, and I figured the imperfection would prevent me from reselling it so I would finally have a guitar to play and keep. To be on the safe side, I have since further 'customized' it by scratching various things (including Proverb's name) on the body in case my eBay listing compulsion surfaced.
