Paris

by Adverb

Proverb and I knew we had a great deal in common from the years we had spent talking to each other online. What worried us before we met in Paris was whether or not there would be a good physical chemistry. Neither of us had a doubt that we were closely linked by ideas but we both wondered how that link would do in person. We learn much about a person from their words, especially over time, but words alone can't dictate how our senses react.

There had been many phone calls before Paris. I love the sound of her voice. The frequency of calls increased as May 7th approached. After speaking on the phone, chatting online became second best and we became more convinced that we had to meet as soon as possible.

To avoid potential embarrassment, discomfort or pressure, we booked separate rooms at the same hotel. We had created a beautiful, caring friendship and agreed to begin our meeting in person from there and let nature take its course.

With our wedding two weeks from today, all I need to say is that nature did just fine.
