Little Cakes of Love

Today my father-in-law took my friend and me on a short road trip to Amarante, Portugal. On the way we stopped close to a city called Penafiel and bought some Bolinhos de Amor, "Little Cakes of Love". The store is famous throughout Portugal.
In Amarante, we ate presunto sandwiches at a "presunto bar", drank the local white wine, then spent some time at a nearby café drinking espresso and eating the little pastries for which Amarante is well known.
The Tamega River runs through Amarante as pictured below.
It's a beautiful city.
